I’m putting this up late and don’t have much to say, or much time to say it, but I’ll throw out and topic and let me know what you think about it.
There’s rumors going around the Cavs are in talks with the Heat to get Shawn Marion for Anderson and Wally. What do think? Good trade? Bad trade? Cancels each other out? What?
I say the Cavs shouldn’t make the trade. Chemistry is a lot in the NBA and I think it’s obvious the Cavs have real good chemistry. Changing the roster could hurt that. As for the actually players involved, I’d take Andy over Marion. Andy is playing great this year and that’s a guy you want on your team. Playing against him has to be the most annoying thing in the world. And Marion, you’d think the Cavs could get someone better for Andy and Wally than him. He’s already past his prime. If this was two-three years ago, yeah, it’s be a great trade. But not now. Stick with what is working and ride it out. Even if we lose Wally at the end of the year and Andy goes somewhere else, this is the year for the Cavs so don’t mess it up. Most teams that have made trades like this in the last two years have regretted it. It hasn’t helped them. Cavs are playing so good right now just sit back and enjoy it. The fans in Minnesota sure did last night.
Marion is on the downslope of his career considering he’s not even getting 13 ppg this year. This trade makes no sense. The Cavs have the biggest trade chip in the NBA this year, if they choose to use it, in Wally, they can do MUCH better than Marion.
Who knows, maybe Al Jefferson becomes available later in the year and we all know how stupid Kevin McHale is. There is no reason to rush this and the Cavs haven’t really shown a need for a roster upgrade yet.
How great would Al Jefferson be on the Cavs. Wow. I got a minor erection thinking about it. However, when McHale took over as coach, he relieved himself of his GM duties. Here’s to hoping whoever replaced him is as dumb as he is.
There was no truth to that rumor. That digbag over at Yahoo Sports who thinks LeBron is going to Detroit made it up. Fatty Windmill called him out. That trade would have been awful, our weakest position is our bigs, so why would we give away our healthest, most energetic big. A few guys I heard the Cavs could get; Jamison, Boozer, Mike Miller. What do you guys think? I would most def take Al Jefferson over any of those guys.
Isn’t Wally and Mike Miller the same player? Don’t like one. Boozer still steals from the blind so fuck him. Jamison would be a nice piece to have but of course AJ would be the best. The Cavs would win the title for sure. It would be sweet for the Cavs to be Boston in the East Finals with Jefferson making the winning shot or something.
For the record, no one is even mentioning that Al Jefferson is available. I just used him as a hypothetical.
Do you really think that the Wizards would trade with us? They fucking hate us!
There is no way that Boozer could ever be brought back to Cleveland and Utah isn’t going to dump their best big for Wally’s contract.
You need to look at the crappy teams. Would the Clips deal Kaman or Camby for Wally? Probably, but that doesn’t really make us any better.
That trade was terrible the minute I heard it. I however do believe the Cavs should make a trade if the right one is there. I know that is stating the obvious but we need to be continually better ourselves. Imagine the players we could have with the money we pay Wally, Big Ben, and Snow. Don’t forget we give Snow a cool 5-6 mil/year.
I heard we could possibly get Joe Smiff back. Nothing to be excited about, just thought Id let you all know.
W are you suggesting we trade big ben??!! youre fucking crazy… and really stupid if so
No… not at all. Just saying he gets paid 15 or so mil and I don’t think he is worth that. Al Jefferson is worth it, Boozer is worth it, and other players with their ability. I am saying as good as we are with the people we have, with the right moves we could be unstoppable.
