I got nothing today. Really nothing. There is literally nothing of importance going on in the world of sports right now. To make matters worst, I just got a phone call two minutes ago from a guy who was suppose to get me Browns tickets but he couldn’t. Damn. To show just how worthless the day that was in sports yesterday, let’s just take a look at a few of the headlines on ESPN.com to clarify my point.
> Going up? First climb of Tour awaits riders. Does anyone really care? If people were going to follow this race after Lance, Captain Douchebag Landis ruined that.
> Gibbs sets sights to future after Stewart departs. Joe Gibbs can’t really have that much longer to live. He should really build for now.
> Cabrera’s blast buries reeling Tribe in 9th. That’s pathetic. No, not the Indians 10 straight loss. That it took a “dramatic” walk-off home run to do it.
> Agent: Bucks set to ink Bogut to $72.5M extension. Really? Is that the same Bogut who I’m thinking of? Because if it is, he’s not worth $72 million.
> Mulder’s comeback start halted. Ladies and gentleman, Carl Pavano version 2.0.
> Parker’s career-high 40 points give Sparks OT win. Do I even have to say anything about the underwater basketball that is the WNBA?
Man, that’s some special stuff. I just kind of made myself depressed. Come on football season. Only 13 days until Browns training camp starts.
