What the hell was that?!?! Did the Browns really just put a 51 spot?!?! Did they really win a division game?!?! Wasn’t it just last Monday that everyone thought the season would be worse than the 1999 season?!?! Did Jamal Lewis get confused and think it was 2003?!?! Did Braylon Edwards think he was back at Michigan?!?! Did Derek Anderson realize (after five throws) that if you throw the ball to the receiver, instead of behind them, they will catch it?!?!
How much fun was it to watch? It’s not too often the words “fun to watch” and “Browns game” are in the same sentence without a “not” somewhere in there. I’m not naive enough to think this something that will happen every week. In fact, the Browns might not score 51 points in the next three games combined, but for one Sunday, this was fun.
After last weeks horrible, horrible, horrible, game against Pittsburgh, this is what us fans needed. A reason to keep watching and keep hoping.
Who cares if the defense gave up 45 points. They intercepted Carson Palmer twice and made the big stop when they had to. The bottom line is the Browns won. Who cares how. A ‘W’ is a ‘W’ and Cleveland needs all the ‘W’s’ they can get. A ‘W’ in Cleveland is more difficult to find than clean air in Detroit.
I don’t know about the rest of the Browns fans but I’m going to enjoy this win until next Sunday. There’s reason for hope this season now and this feeling of pride is something that we aren’t that familiar with. Plus, it might the last time we feel like this for sometime. Might as well soak it all in and enjoy it as long as we can.
Enjoy it, the Bengals couldn’t stop Tyler Everett.
Ouch! That might have been a little low, albeit, true. And as Browns fans, like I said, we don’t care how the ‘W’ comes. We’re just happy to have one.
